The Bund is constantly changing, with each building having its own story, and the light also has its own past. In the past, the Bund in people’s memories was always enveloped in a sea of festive lights. That began with the lighting project in 1986, when the buildings on the Bund were decorated with tens of thousands of light bulbs connected in lines. It was truly a “light show”. It has been nearly 40 years since China’s lighting evolved from “light show” to the present day, and it is time for another innovation.
In the renovation project to enhance the landscape lighting along both banks of the Huangpu River, Mr. Zhong Ming (Design Director of TS Lighting) and his team, together with relevant international lighting teams under the leadership of Mr. Tao Zhen (Director of the Huangpu District Lighting Scenery Institute in Shanghai), were responsible for the lighting design of the world-renowned core area of the Bund.

The Poly Southern Finance Building is jointly built by the state-owned enterprise Poly Development and the state-owned enterprise Southern Finance All Media Group, with a total construction area of approximately 100000 square meters. In the future, the headquarters of Southern Finance will occupy half of the area and land in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) financial data center. The project is located in the central core financial district of the starting area of Guangzhou Financial City, with a focus on financial supervision and headquarters office areas. It gathers the headquarters of financial giants such as Guangzhou Bank, Guangfa Bank, Wanlian Securities, and Xinhua Life Insurance.
The overall lighting design strategy adopts all indirect lighting, integrated with the curtain wall. Through clever integrated design, the soft light reflects the texture of the stone, and the strength of the building’s layers is reflected. Architectural lighting aesthetics that conform to the eternal atmosphere.
