The Shanghai Confucian Temple is located in the core area of the old city in Huangpu District. It was first built in the Yuan Dynasty (1294) and covers an area of about 13000 square meters. It is the only temple school complex in the central urban area dedicated to Confucius. This upgrade project covers the renovation of the Confucian Temple, the renovation of surrounding neighborhoods, and the expansion of functions, creating an open cultural landmark that combines traditional Chinese culture with cultural and creative experiences. It is planned to reopen in 2025. TS creates a dialogue of ancient and modern cultural relics through precise lighting design, continuing the atmosphere of cultural and urban fireworks.
