Along the northern bank of the Pearl River’s rear channel, a five-kilometer waterfront stretch is awakening. This is Julong Bay—the core hinterland of western Guangzhou, where over thirty historic buildings nestle beneath banyan trees, and century-old warehouse bricks still bear traces of tea and timber. Now, Taikoo Li makes its riverside debut for the first time. The TS team has meticulously crafted a “light script” for this land—not a grand illumination, but a gentle response. A response to the Pearl River’s millennia-old flow, to the memories of Lingnan’s ancient markets, and to the gradual unfolding of a world-class waterfront district. We call it: *A Gathering of Light.
