The Dongsi Station Weaving and Repairing Project of Dongcheng District Subway Line 6 is located at the northwest corner of Dongsi Road intersection in Dongcheng District, with a total area of 53524 square meters. The design of seven characteristic courtyards was created by a master. It is understood that the project has set up a design camp, which is jointly participated by the team led by Cui Kai and Li Xinggang, academicians of the CAE Member, and well-known architects Zhu Xiaodi and Wang Hui, and the team led by Li Xinggang summarized and controlled the overall effect. The building adopts a courtyard layout, which actually traces back to the “Complete Map of the Qianlong Capital” and excavates the historical memory hidden in this plot. The night lighting enhances the feeling of the courtyard, and the integration of indoor and outdoor lighting is considered. The gap light between courtyards, floating eaves, and the light between hutongs “light up life and light up the hutongs”.
